Cover to cover…
I derive my creative impetus from the realm of things concealed, from memory and remembrance,
from the sediments of dreams, as well as from images and photographs.
Evidence
To convey a tangible presence of memory the surfaces of these oil-based monoprints appear
to change from interiority to outwardness, emitting an emotive space within an open ground.
The work draws upon my personal repertoire of painterly techniques–smearing, rubbing,
blending, bleeding–to convey a distinct material presence.
